Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marín, held a meeting with Indian journalists at the Press Club of New Delhi (PCI), in which several print and television media were represented.
During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat reaffirmed the will to strengthen the relations of friendship, cooperation and dialogue with India, which celebrated 62 years of its foundation last January. He conveyed the feeling of deep gratitude for the solidary position of the Indian government and people in support of the demand to lift the U.S. blockade against Cuba.
He also commented on the work being carried out by both countries to increase bilateral trade and economic ties, which, he explained, are a priority given the potential and opportunities that exist for businessmen of both countries.
