The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia highlights in The Ethiopian Herald Ethiopia's strong support for the fight against the U.S. blockade

Addis Ababa, October 26, 2025.- The Ethiopian Herald published today an extensive interview with the Cuban Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Meylin Suarez, in which she highlights the continued support of the Ethiopian government and people for the elimination of the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba.

In her statements, the Cuban diplomat emphasizes that, despite the severe limitations resulting from the embargo, the Cuban government and people maintain their unwavering commitment to solidarity and the just causes of the world's peoples.

Ambassador Suárez also referred to the historic ties of brotherhood and cooperation between Cuba and Ethiopia, which, she emphasized, have been strengthened over five decades of diplomatic relations.

In the framework of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of official ties between the two countries, Suárez reiterated Cuba's willingness to continue strengthening bilateral ties in key sectors such as health, education, science and human resource training.
