Addis Ababa, August 12, 2022. The Ambassador of Cuba in Ethiopia, Jorge Lefebre Nicolás, held a meeting with the Ambassador of South Sudan in this country, James Pitia Morgan. The Cuban ambassador, also appointed as ambassador to South Sudan, recalled the historic ties of friendship that unite the two countries and reaffirmed Cuba's willingness to continue granting scholarships for the training of low-income students from developing countries and presented two new scholarships for the 2023 academic year.
His Sudanese counterpart thanked Cuba for its willingness to continue offering scholarships to African countries and reiterated its esteem for the Cuban people.
The meeting allowed both diplomats to also exchange information on the political reality that is happening in their respective countries.
