Cuban Ambassador exchanges with Lebanese authorities on Cuban vaccines

Beirut, March 3, 2021. Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga held a fruitful meeting with Major General Mahmoud Al Asmar, Head of the Working Group to combat Covid-19 in Lebanon.

The Cuban diplomat updated the Major General on Cuba's progress in the research and production of 4 national vaccines, two of which, Soberana 02 and Abdala, will enter Phase III of clinical trials this March.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation mechanisms in the fight against the pandemic, including the use of Cuban vaccines to immunize the Lebanese population. (Embacuba Líbano)
