Kuala Lumpur, February 19, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Yadira Ledesma Hernández expressed her gratitude for the exchange with Ms. Prisheela Prakas Raw, Undersecretary of the Multilateral Political Division of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The occasion provided an opportunity to address issues of common interest on the multilateral agenda, an area in which Malaysia and Cuba, members of the Non-Aligned Movement, share positions in defense of multilateralism and international law.
It was also provided an update on the situation in Cuba following the intensification of unilateral coercive measures against our people, and the Ambassador expressed appreciation for Malaysia's long-standing support of the resolution adopted by the international community in the UN General Assembly, which has been in place for 30 years, demanding an end to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed against Cuba.
