Addis Ababa, June 11, 2026.- The Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia held a working meeting with filmmaker Henok Mebratu. During the meeting, they reaffirmed their mutual interest in continuing to build bridges that connect the past with a present where the genuine affection that has characterized relations between the people of Cuba and Ethiopia must be safeguarded.
Henok Mebratu is a prominent filmmaker born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a solid career both within and outside the continent.
He works in various areas of filmmaking, including screenwriting, editing, visual effects, sound design, graphic design, cinematography, and production. His true passion lies in directing and animation. Henok has participated in top-tier film festivals such as Cannes and the Berlinale.
