Cuban ambassador highlikes the effect of the blockade at the National Cultural Festival of Indian People’s Theatre Association.

New Delhi, October 5, 2016. With the participation of over 800 representatives from 26 states of India, the National Cultural Festival was held from 02 to October 4, sponsored by the Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA); organization that brings together more than 100 cultural organizations in 20 states of the Indian subcontinent

The Guests of Honors at the opening ceremony in the city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh state were the Ambassadors of Cuba and Venezuela, who presented the cultural development of their respective countries.

During the intervention of the Cuban Ambassador Oscar Martinez Cordovés, the Cuban diplomat stressed, among other things, how the economic and financial blockade imposed by the US against Cuba also affects the cultural development of the island.

In the activity was distributed among the participants a rare photograph of Fidel and Che Guevara given by the Embassy. It was also screened in the theater the video of the song "They called me Cuba" by the Cuban musician Alexander Abreu, that was well received among the participants. (EmbacubaIndia).
