Cuban Ambassador invited to the Model United Nations at KIIT University.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, participated as a guest at the Model United Nations academic event at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, one of the main university centers in the Indian state of Odisha.

During the activities, the diplomat gave a lecture on Cuba at the Faculty of Law, in which he highlighted the historical relations of friendship between Cuba and India. He also exchanged with students and professors on the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution and emphasized the international demand at the United Nations General Assembly to put an end to the U.S. blockade, for which he thanked the Indian government and people for their solidarity.

He also participated in the closing ceremony of the event together with the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Sasmita Samanta, and exchanged on the possibilities of cooperation in the field of education and sports with the President, founder of the University and Indian deputy, Prof. Achyuta Samanta.
