Nassau, The Bahamas, September 28, 2026. – Cuban Ambassador Juan Carlos Marcof Sánchez exchanged greetings with the Prime Minister of The Bahamas, the Honourable Philip Edward Davis, during a reception held in Nassau to mark the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
The Cuban diplomat expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for the remarks he made during the General Debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, in which he called for an end to the tightened blockade against Cuba, including the energy blockade, as well as for Cuba’s removal from unilateral and spurious list of so-called State Sponsors of Terrorism—measures that cause suffering to the Cuban people.
Ambassador Marcof also thanked him for his commitmen and call to respect Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
