The Ambassador of Cuba to Liberia, H.E. Dr. Indira López Argüelles, held a meeting with Mr. A. Trokon Tar, Director General of the Liberia News Agency.
The Ambassador provided an update on the situation in Cuba, including the impact of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade, the country’s energy situation, and Cuba’s concerns regarding current international tensions. She also presented the report on the blockade.
The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening communication between the two countries. Mr. Trokon Tar expressed interest in promoting links between the Liberia News Agency and its Cuban counterparts, as well as facilitating future professional exchanges.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of these contacts in fostering greater mutual understanding between the peoples of Cuba and Liberia.
