The Ambassador of Cuba to Liberia, H.E. Dr. Indira López Argüelles, held a meeting with Mr. Anderson D. Miamen, Executive Director of the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia (CENTAL), and Mr. William Tali, Administrative Manager.
The Ambassador provided an update on the situation in Cuba, including the effects of the U.S. blockade, the country’s energy situation, and Cuba’s concerns regarding current international tensions. She also presented the report on the blockade.
The meeting explored opportunities for institutional exchanges and the sharing of experiences in areas of common interest. The CENTAL representatives expressed their willingness to establish links with Cuban organizations and counterparts and to explore future opportunities for cooperation.
The Ambassador welcomed this openness to dialogue and reiterated Cuba’s interest in expanding exchanges with Liberian civil society organizations.
