The Cuban ambassador in Turkmenistan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, and the head of the National Tourism Agency of this nation, Serdar Cholukov, analyzed the cooperation in the tourist sphere between both countries.
The ambassador detailed the current situation and perspectives of the development of tourism in Cuba and the measures adopted by the island's government to strengthen this sector.
The diplomat stressed that in Cuba there is great security in all areas. There are 14 well-preserved national parks, 257 national monuments and the construction of 21,000 rooms over the next four years.
On the other hand, Nieves Portuondo encouraged the top executives of the Agency and the tour operators to participate in the International Tourism Fair, FitCuba 2019, where the half millennium of Havana will also be celebrated. The appointment will be from May 6 to 11 at the Morro Cabaña Historic Military Complex, dedicated to Spain, as the guest of honor country, and to the modality of events and incentives.
