Cuban Ambassador to the Netherlands attends reception for India's National Day.

The Hague, January 26, 2026. On Monday afternoon, the Indian diplomatic mission to the Kingdom of the Netherlands commemorated the 77th anniversary of Republic Day, an event that brought together a broad representation of the diplomatic corps and accredited international organizations, Dutch authorities, and representatives from various sectors.  On the occasion, Cuban Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker, on behalf of the Cuban authorities and people, congratulated her Indian counterpart, His Excellency KUMAR TUHIN, while highlighting the good level of bilateral relations, based on fraternity and cooperation for common prosperity.
Dutch Foreign Minister David van Well, who was present at the celebration, conveyed warm congratulations on the occasion and highlighted the opportunity to work with India towards a forward-looking strategic partnership.
Republic Day commemorates the historic January 26, 1950, when the Asian country adopted its Constitution. This iconic date marks the birth of the nation as a sovereign, democratic, and secular republic, with massive parades in its capital New Delhi, inspiring speeches, and cultural events that bring together millions.
