Chandighar, September 23, 2025- The Ambassador of Cuba in India, Juan Carlos Marsán participates in a solidarity meeting with Cuba and Venezuela held within the framework of the 25th Congress of the Communist Party of India (PCI), which takes place from 22 to 25 September in the city of Chandighar, Punjab state.
The Cuban diplomat, in his speech, highlighted the historical ties between both countries, which this year celebrate the 65th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations. He thanked the leadership and membership of the PCI for its support to Cuba and continued condemnation of the criminal and intensified US blockade. He called likewise for statements and activities to condemn this genocidal policy, in support of the vote, which will take place at the end of October, on the Cuban resolution against this criminal policy. He, also, highlighted the centenary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, which is taking place in India, highlighting Fidel’s contribution to the historical ties of friendship and solidarity between both peoples.
The Congress adopted a declaration of solidarity with Cuba, which was widely supported by participants. After the event, Cuban diplomat offered statements to several media.
