Cuban Ambassador pays working visit to Croatia
Zagreb, October 23, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Croatia, concurrently accredited to Vienna, Austria, paid a working visit to Croatia on October 22 and 23.
As part of the visit, he held meetings with officials from the Croatian Foreign Ministry, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and how to further improve them. The talks took place in the cordial atmosphere that characterizes relations between the two countries.
He also met with the President of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba in the Croatian Parliament. At this meeting, Ambassador Berti Oliva conveyed the wishes of the Friendship Group with Croatia of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba to strengthen working ties.
In addition, contacts were held with Cuban residents and talks were held with the Cervantes Institute in Zagreb. With the latter, it was agreed to establish cooperation in the promotion of Cuban culture in Croatia.
Cuba and Croatia established diplomatic relations on September 24, 1992.
