Cuban Ambassador presents Letters of Credence to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna.
Vienna, April 11, 2023 - Cuban Ambassador Pablo Berti Oliva presented to Her Excellency Ms. Ghada Fathi Waly, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna, the Letters of Credence accrediting him as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cuba to the United Nations Office at Vienna.
The Director-General thanked Cuba for its support to the work of the United Nations bodies meeting in Vienna and acknowledged Cuba's role in the important negotiations taking place there.
The Permanent Representative of Cuba reiterated the country's commitment to the United Nations and the defense of multilateralism. He also thanked Ms. Fathi Waly for the position of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in relation to the effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed against Cuba by the United Nations.
