Cuban Ambassador receives the Secretary of the Senate.

The Honorable Mr. I. Narbolor F. Singbeh, Secretary of the Liberian Senate, visited the Cuban Embassy to speak with Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles about his time in Cuba and his meeting with Fidel Castro.

Mr. Singbeh, who has held this position for over 20 years, shared his experiences regarding the meeting with the parliamentary delegation that visited Cuba in 2001.

He also expressed interest in fostering cooperation and inter-parliamentary diplomacy in areas such as secretariat operations, as well as the functionality and continuity of legislatures.

Ambassador López Argüelles briefed the parliamentarian on the state of the Cuban economy and the impact of the blockade and energy restrictions, and outlined the economic transformations currently underway in the country.

Mr. Singbeh advocated for an end to the blockade against Cuba and emphasized the need to respect international law, sovereignty, and the self-determination of peoples. The Honorable Secretary shared his memories and photographs taken with the Commander-in-Chief
