Cuban Ambassador Signs Book of Condolences Opened Following the Death of Princess Bajrakitiyabha

Ambassador Pedro Pablo San Jorge and Consul Niurka de la O signed the Book of Condolences opened at the Grand Royal Palace following the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, expressing their deepest condolences on behalf of the Cuban government and people.
Princess Bajrakitiyabha of Thailand, the eldest daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, passed away at the age of 47 on June 11, 2026, after being hospitalized in a coma since 2022.
She was one of the most respected and beloved figures in the royal family and was noted for her diplomatic and social work.
At the United Nations, she served as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The princess promoted criminal justice reforms in Thailand, focusing on improving conditions for pregnant and vulnerable women in prison; she worked as a prosecutor and held various diplomatic posts, including that of Thailand’s ambassador to Austria.
