Addis Ababa, February 6, 2025.- In a meeting that reinforces the ties of friendship and cooperation, the ambassadors of Cuba in Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, and to the African Union, Lucas D. Hernández, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Burundi in Addis Ababa, where they were received by the Burundian ambassador, Willy Nyamitwe.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged on various topics of bilateral and multilateral interest, highlighting the importance of strengthening South-South collaboration and cooperation. They also discussed the challenges and opportunities in the African and global context, as well as the participation of both nations in international forums.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment to continue consolidating the historic ties of friendship between Cuba and Burundi.
