Cuban Ambassadors Visit Namibian Embassy in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, January 6, 2025.- The Cuban ambassador-designate to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, and the Cuban ambassador-designate to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernández, after their recent arrival in the country, made their first courtesy visit to the Namibian Embassy in Ethiopia.

Ambassadors held the meeting with the Counselor and Deputy Head of Mission, Rodney Sikopo, who thanked the visit and highlighted the close ties of friendship that unite Namibia and Cuba.

Ambassador Lucas Hernández highlighted the recent visits to Cuba of the Namibian President, H.E. Dr. Nangolo Mbumba and the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Namibia, Peter Katjavivi, as a sign of the deep and historic solidarity of the Namibian people and authorities with our Homeland; bonds forged in the common struggles of our peoples and in a close friendship between Fidel Castro and Sam Nujoma.
