A delegation of the Cuban banking system, headed by Yamile Berra Cires, Vice President of the Central Bank, and composed of representatives of Cuban commercial banks, held exchanges this week with official Indian authorities in the capital city of New Delhi.
The delegation was received at the Ministry of Finance by the Minister of State, Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, and by the Secretary of Financial Services, Sanjay Malhotra. They also held a meeting with the Secretary for Economic Relations of the Ministry of External Affairs, Dammu Ravi, and other Foreign Ministry authorities.
In the different meetings held, the spirit of friendship and cooperation that characterizes the bilateral relations between Cuba and India prevailed, and they exchanged on joint actions in the framework of financial and banking relations to accompany and stimulate bilateral trade between both countries. The shared will to support inter-business links and a greater economic presence of India in Cuba's development plans was ratified.
