Cuban Consul Visits Central Women Correctional Institution in Bangkok at the invitation of the Minister of Justice.

Thai Minister of Justice Thawee Sodsong and his wife Mrs. Sunee Sodsong received at the Central Correctional Institution for Women in Bangkok a group of 14 spouses of ambassadors and heads of mission accredited in Thailand, including Cuban Consul Niurka de la O Mojena.


On this occasion, Mrs. Jirapa Sinthunawa, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, explained the importance of the Kamaanjai Project, an initiative of Her Majesty Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha to promote vocational training for women prisoners and improve living conditions in the compound. 
During the study visit, the diplomats watched the inmates perform a classical Thai dance and had the opportunity to visit the Learning Center, the library, the area for the care of the prisoners' children born in the center and the areas for the production of handicrafts.
They also participated with some of the inmates in a demonstrative way in food processing, fruit carving and baking.
