Cuban Consulate General in Toronto held a meeting with Cuban painter Joel Rafael Oliva Solano

Cuban painter Joel Rafael Oliva Solano was received at the Cuban Consulate General in Toronto. He is holding a solo exhibition titled Androgynes, which will be on display from July 18 to August 28 at ArtScape Youngplace. The opening took place on July 23 and was attended by members of the Consulate.

During his visit, painter Joel Oliva presented the Consulate with a personal work titled "Apostle," created using the Pen and Ink Drawing technique. He emphasized his admiration for the life and work of José Martí. Additionally, they discussed his life and work, as well as the TopArte community project, which he founded in the municipality of Diez de Octubre.

Consul General Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, for his part, thanked the Cuban artist for his visit and the important gift, recognized the impact of his community project, and urged him to continue working to expand the cultural and community connection between Cuba and Canada.

The meeting took place in a cheerful atmosphere, where Cuban identity and love for the homeland predominated.
