Cuban Consulate participates in the presentation of the magazine "Cuban Women: Politics, Culture and Revolution".

On Thursday, June 27, the Cuban Consulate in Toronto participated in the presentation of the magazine "Cuban Women: Politics, Culture and Revolution". The publication consists of several articles published mostly by Canadian women linked to solidarity with the Cuban people.

Authors Abubacar Fofana León, Ranu Basu, Lisa Makarchuk, Ana Isla and Brenda Cranney made brief presentations of their articles where they addressed the role of Cuban women from the colonial period to the current revolutionary period, especially highlighting the role of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and the importance of the new Family Code.

The space was propitious to address the reality of Cuba, condemning the existence of the cruel and unjust blockade against Cuba and denouncing the inclusion of Cuba on the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

The evening was set to music and poems by Cuban and Canadian artists.

Consul Tania Valenzuela thanked the authors for the publication of this magazine and for so many years of solidarity with Cuba.
