Cuban Consulate in Toronto holds meetings with the Ministry of Health and the Ontario Directorate for Associations and Investor Services

The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, held productive meetings with Ontario Deputy Minister of Health Deborah Richardson and Ontario Director for Associations and Investor Services Nicole Simone, respectively. 

During the exchanges, the parties discussed the possibilities for collaboration between them and identified some areas of common interest, establishing the foundations for future exchanges.

In both meetings, to the 80th anniversary of uninterrupted diplomatic relations between Cuba and Canada was a made reference, and emphasis was placed on the effects of the cruel and unjust blockade imposed by the United States on the Cuban people.

The talks took place in a cordial atmosphere, and both sides reiterated their willingness to continue seeking opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations. Also participating on the Cuban side was Tania Valenzuela Veiga, Consul, and on the Canadian side, senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Invest Ontario.
