On the evening of July 26, the General Consul of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos, participated in the virtual meeting to celebrate National Rebellion Day, organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba.
With the participation of more than 115 people from different parts of Canada, the panelists, in their personal capacity and on behalf of different solidarity organizations and Cuban residents, expressed messages of friendship and affection towards the people of Cuba to celebrate this important date.
On the other hand, the Cuban diplomat conveyed a message of recognition to these organizations for their continuous solidarity towards the Cuban people, especially manifested in the sending of important donations to our country, their actions in support of the Cuban people, against foreign interference and to demand the end of the inhumane blockade imposed by the US against our country.
In addition, an emotional message from the Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Héctor Igarza and videos allegorical to the date were projected.
