Cuban craft expert is welcomed in Guyana

Guyana, Georgetwon, february 10, 2025. Invited by the Women and Gender Equality Commission of Guyana, the Cuban craft expert and graduate in special education, Ms. Niurka Cabañas Calvo, will develop an exchange program from February 10 to 21, 2025.

During her stay in Guyana, the Cuban craft expert will offer workshops to Guyanese women, and she will visit schools of art, a school for children with special educational needs, the National Gallery of Art and the University of Guyana.

Niurka Cabañas Calvo has been recognized by the Cuban Association of the United Nations (ACNU) for her social leadership in favor of women, education and culture.
