Kuwait, October 17: The Cuban Embassy in Kuwait hosted the celebration of Cuban Culture Day, which is commemorated on October 20. The event was attended by a large representation of Cubans residing in the country, health workers, and diplomatic personnel.
The gathering began with the singing of our glorious national anthem and served to pay a well-deserved tribute to our historical, cultural, and patriotic roots. The celebration had special significance as it was dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and the 95th anniversary of the birth of the prominent revolutionary and intellectual Armando Hart Dávalos. The values of the Cuban Revolution's cultural project, which defends sovereignty, social justice, and universal access to art and knowledge, were highlighted.
The gathering confirmed, despite the distances, the ties that unite Cuban residents with their homeland, as they keep their cultural traditions and national pride alive.
