On October 20, the Cuban Embassy opened its doors to Liberian friends and the diplomatic corps present in Monrovia, showcasing the artwork of Damaris Hasselhuber, guayabera shirts, Cuban music and audiovisuals, an exhibition on Cuban workers, the nation's heroes and martyrs, science, sports, and numerous other items related to Cuban art.
In addition to singing the National Anthem, attendees paid tribute to the birth of Armando Hart Davalos, Abelardo Estorino, and the cultural institutions created by the Cuban Revolution.
Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles spoke about the launch of the Centennial Campaign with Fidel Castro and invited participants to enjoy Damaris's vibrant and colorful artwork, as well as to savor Cuban dishes with African roots and the traditional mojito.
