Addis Ababa, July 27, 2025.- The Cuban delegation arrived this Sunday in Addis Ababa to participate in the 2nd United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+4), which will be held from July 27 to 29 in Ethiopia.
Headed by Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, the delegation was received by H.E. Mr. Teshale Berecha, Minister of State for Labour and Skills Development of Ethiopia.
Accompanying the Deputy Prime Minister are Ambassador Vilma Thomas Ramírez, Director of Multilateral Political Affairs at the Directorate-General for Multilateral Affairs, and Elizabeth Peña Turruellas, Director of Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture.
Cuba's participation in this important forum reaffirms its commitment to strengthening sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food systems at the global level.
