Cuban delegation exchanged with Indian businessmen at a business forum organized by the Indian Economic and Trade Organization (IETO) in New Delhi, where business options and foreign investment in Cuba in the electronics industry, nickel, steel, electric vehicles and renewable energies were presented, as well as opportunities to develop economic projects of common interest and for the benefit of both countries.
The Cuban side was headed by the Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, the General Director of Industrial Management of the Ministry of Industries, Idalberto Perez, and the Group Head of the Electronics Industry Portfolio, Edel Gomez.
Also present were Asif Iqbal, president of IETO; Anil Trigunayat, former ambassador and president of the Millennium India International Chamber of Commerce for Industry and Agriculture (MIICCIA), as well as more than 50 Indian businessmen.
The Cuban Ambassador, in his remarks, highlighted the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the potential for further development of bilateral economic ties. In terms of the latter, he highlighted the commitment of the Cuban government to work together with the Indian authorities.
Asif Iqbal, for his part, insisted on the existing opportunities to continue expanding economic-commercial relations between the two countries. In this regard, he stressed the importance of the event to identify new business opportunities.
