Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister visits Fiji

Fiji, September 9, 2018. - Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra Díaz is starting today an official visit to the Republic of Fiji, as part of the tour of the South Pacific.

The Cuban diplomat is expected to complete a program in Suva, the Fijian capital, which will include official talks with his counterpart, the former Major General and ambassador, Ioane Naivalurua, who is currently the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and acting Foreign Minister, as well as bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Health, Defense, and other senior government officials.

Cuba and Fiji established diplomatic relations on 19 July 2002.
