The T.A. Marryshow Community College held its thirty-seventh graduation ceremony at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium under the theme “Excellence in Action: Shaping Grenada’s Future.” The event brought together national authorities, families, and students in an atmosphere of pride and celebration for the achievements attained.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba to Grenada, Yadirys Echenique Paz, and the Cuban Consul, Ariel Pazos Ortiz, who were specially invited by the college administration. Their presence reaffirmed the bonds of friendship and cooperation between both countries.
Education is one of the areas in which collaboration between Cuba and Grenada has been most significant. Hundreds of Grenadians have pursued university studies in Cuba across various specialties. This cooperation has strengthened human resource development in the “Spice Island” and underscores the ties of brotherhood between the two nations, reflected in the participation of Cuban diplomats at the graduation ceremony.
The solemn commencement exercise was presided over by Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, alongside Minister of Education David Evlyn Andrew and other Grenadian leaders.
