Cuban diplomats donate blood over explosions in Lebanon

Beirut, August 5, 2020. The Cuban ambassador in Lebanon, Alexander Pellicer, and the counselor, Raúl Ernesto Madrigal, today donated blood for the victims of the two explosions that occurred this Tuesday in the port of Beirut.

The two diplomats responded to an appeal by the Lebanese government seeking international help to attend to the thousands of injured caused by the explosive incident.

Previously, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, sent a message of condolences to the Lebanese president, Michel Aoun.

On behalf of the Cuban people and government, added the note from Díaz-Canel, I ask you to extend our condolences to all Lebanese. (Embacuba Lebanon / Prensa Latina)
