Cuban Embassy in Lebanon condemns new genocidal measures by the US against the Cuban nation
The members of the Cuban Embassy in Lebanon express their strongest condemnation of the new measures taken by the US government to intensify the economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba, through actions aimed at preventing the supply of fuel and sanctioning third countries that maintain legitimate commercial relations with Cuba.
With this new measure, the US government demonstrates that this is not an embargo against Cuba, but rather a criminal and genocidal blockade, which it reinforces with new threats and extreme extraterritorial measures against all countries in the world to prevent them from trading freely with Cuba.
This act by the US government is the most obvious admission of its resounding defeat against a people that does not submit to the abuses of a superpower and will go down in history as one of the most humiliating international failures of the decadent Yankee empire.
The new outrage is aimed at depriving an entire country of energy and vital sources of sustenance for transportation, food processing, production, and basic services such as medical care and water supply.
The US government is the only threat to peace, security, and stability in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world, through practices of political and economic coercion to try to seize the natural resources of countries and deprive them of their sovereignty and independence, imposing arbitrary and abusive tariffs, which constitutes a flagrant violation of all the rules of free trade and international law.
These actions are part of a policy that has been sustained for more than six decades against the Cuban people, who suffer the longest and cruelest economic blockade ever imposed on an entire nation.
The United States' economic, financial, and commercial blockade against the people of Cuba has been universally condemned by the United Nations and every multilateral forum that has examined the issue.
The Cuban Embassy in Lebanon denounces this new act of aggression before the international community and reiterates its call to reject the application of unilateral coercive measures, contrary to the principles of the United Nations Charter, which violate the sovereignty of States and seriously affect the well-being of peoples.
