Monrovia, August 15, 2020 - On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Women Federation (FMC), the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia participated in the online forum convened by the women's organization.
Teresa Amarelle Boué, Secretary General of the FMC, and friends of the Women's International Democratic Federation, the World March of Women and other organizations participated in the meeting.
In the pleasant virtual event, friends of organizations from different countries of the world such as Puerto Rico, Brazil, El Salvador, among others, highlighted the role played by Vilma Espín in that organization.
At the meeting of the federated women, different topics were discussed, among them, the challenges to be faced by the organization, solidarity and unity of women as elementary principles in the struggle against the patriarchal policies of imperial domination, the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and the just causes of the region and the world.
The event culminated with the release of the 60th Anniversary Spot as a birthday gift on this anniversary of the Cuban Women's Federation.
