Monrovia, February 19, 2020 - This morning, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia received a visit from the journalist of the "Daily Observer" newspaper, Mr. Joaquin Sendolo, who met and exchanged views with the Head of this diplomatic mission, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.
Both held a fruitful meeting where the Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to offer statements on the healthy state of the relations between Cuba and Liberia, the scholarship plan through the modality of intergovernmental agreement and its results; she ratified the will of the Cuban government and people to expand and strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation; and she condemned the aggressive escalation of the U.S. government against the island, while she referred to the value of Cuban medical cooperation.
The journalist Sendolo expressed the willingness of the Liberian newspaper to contribute to the dissemination of the Cuban reality and the actions that reveal the cordial links between the two countries.
The President of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association, Kesselee K. Kanneh, who is also a member of a group of Liberian graduates in Cuba, also participated in this meeting.
