The Cuban Embassy in Liberia reopens its headquarters with a tribute to José Martí.

On May 19, as a tribute to the death in combat of Cuba's National Hero, and inspired by the strong context of creative resistance and anti-imperialist steadfastness, the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia, together with Liberian workers, sang the National Anthem and raised the tricolor flag at the mission's new headquarters.

The Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, reminded those present of the Hero of Dos Ríos' death in combat, his political testament as an anti-imperialist fighter, and expressed her gratitude for the support of the Cuban diplomats who have served in this land for 10 years, a land that shares with Cuba "its love of freedom."
