Cuban Embassy participates in event on tourism and cinema in Mumbai.

Cuba was present at the 5th Global Conclave on cinema and tourism that took place in the city of Mumbai, under the theme "Unleashing the power of Cinematic Tourism", and organized by the Ministry of Tourism of India and the PHD Chamber of Commerce. The event was aimed at promoting the potential of different tourist destinations for the undertaking of film projects of the Indian film industry.

In his presentation, Cuban Ambassador Alejandro Simancas highlighted the wide range of options offered by the Cuban tourist destination, not only for sun and beach, but also as a country of culture, history, social development and health. He also emphasized the prestige of Cuban cinematography and the different existing professional and technical capacities that have allowed the realization of multiple joint productions, including the Indian film shot in Cuba "Ek Tha Tiger".

The event was attended by the Secretary of the Indian Ministry of Tourism Arvind Singh and the Minister of the State of Maharashtra for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi; as well as personalities of the Indian film industry.
