From May 2 to 4, 2025, Ambassador Juan Carlos Marsán and First Secretary Maiky Díaz Pérez of the Cuban Embassy in India participated in the INDEX 2025 event, which took place in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala.
This event was organized by the National Industries Development Council Committee (NIDCC), with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India (MSME).
At the opening of the event, the Cuban representative highlighted the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and India, countries that are celebrating the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, as well as emphasized the opportunities that exist to increase their economic ties.
INDEX 2025 had a stand dedicated to Cuba, which was inaugurated with the presence of the directors of the NIDCC and the Ministry of MSME. A presentation was also made on the business opportunities that Cuba offers in sectors of common interest such as biotechnology, health, ICT, agriculture, energy and sports. Particular emphasis was placed on the promotion of our country as a tourist and investment destination, which was well received by the attendees.
The participation of the Embassy facilitated the exchange with institutions and companies of interest, as well as with representatives of the diplomatic missions invited to the event.
