Port of Spain, January 17th, 2020. The Cuban Embassy celebrated the 61st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution in the company of representatives from the Cuban Medical Brigade, Cuban residents and various sectors of the Trinidadian society as well as members of the Diplomatic Corp and international organizations accredited at that country. The main words were given by the Cuban Ambassador Tania Diego Olite and the Minister of Trade and Industry of Trinidad and Tobago, Senator the Honorable Paula Gopee-Scoon, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, who ratified his government's support for the United Nations call to end the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, recognized the role of Cuban doctors and nurses in the strategy of expanding access to health drawn up by his government, and reiterated the commitment to strengthen economic, cultural and cooperation ties with Cuba.
