Addis Ababa, March 12, 2025.- On Wednesday morning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, arrived at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, who was received by the Director of Protocol Affairs of the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry, Aziza Geleta, the Deputy Director of Europe and America and current Acting Director, Abraham Megistu, the director for South America and the Caribbean, Demissew Kebede and the Ambassador of Cuba to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez.
The Cuban foreign minister is on an official visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, from March 12 to 14, as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During his stay, Rodríguez Parrilla will develop an official agenda that includes meetings with senior Ethiopian authorities, including his counterpart, with the purpose of strengthening the historic ties of friendship and cooperation that have united Cuba and Ethiopia for half a century.
The Cuban foreign minister's visit reaffirms the willingness of both nations to continue deepening political, economic and collaboration relations in various sectors.
