Cuban head of mission in Lebanon reaffirms Cuba's support and solidarity with Turkiye and Syria
The head of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Lebanon, Jorge León Cruz, signed the condolence books at the Turkiye and Syrian embassies in Beirut, which were opened on the occasion of the earthquake that devastated those two countries on February 6, 2023 and caused thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of injured.
In the respective condolence books, the Cuban diplomat, on behalf of the Cuban government and people, expressed the most heartfelt condolences to the governments of Turkey and Syria, extended to the families and friends of the victims.
During the exchanges held with the respective Turkish and Syrian heads of missions, fraternal gratitude was expressed for the traditional expressions of Cuban solidarity and the willingness to send emergency medical brigades of the Henry Reeve contingent to Turkiye and Syria.
