Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia participates in official ceremony for 175th Anniversary of Liberia's Independence.

Monrovia, July 26, 2022 - Responding to an invitation from Liberian President George Manneh Weah, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera together with members of the diplomatic corps participated in the official ceremony for the Independence Day of the West African country.

With the presence of the presidents of Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, and Gambia, the official program in commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the independence of Liberia took place at the Centennial Memorial Pavilion.

On this occasion, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mawine Guatta Diggs, was selected to deliver the National Independence Day Oration under the theme: "Fostering Unity, Protecting Peace for Development and Prosperity".
