Cuban Head of Mission participates in central event for International Women's Day.

Monrovia, March 8, 2024- Responding to an invitation extended by the Liberian Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon Gbeme Horace-Kollie, Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera participated in the celebration of International Women's Day under the theme "Investing in Women, Accelerating Progress".

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on progress, advocate for change and recognize exceptional women who have made significant contributions to their communities and nations.

International Women's Day is a global event that celebrates the remarkable achievements of women in the social, economic, cultural and political spheres.
