Monrovia, December 15, 2022 - With the presence of Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor and other members of the Liberian cabinet, the first event of the Dialogue Acts to Consolidate Peace, Stability and Development in Liberia, whose theme is "Strengthening Development Cooperation for a Sustainable Outcome," was held.
Cuba was represented by Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, who, together with members of the diplomatic corps in Monrovia, representatives of political parties, religious organizations and members of civil society, participated in the event.
The dialogue series was launched in October, and the Chinese Embassy in Liberia hosted the first event in the series.
The West African Regional Group, ECOWAS, in conjunction with the German Embassy in Monrovia, have launched a series of dialogues to consolidate peace, security and development in Liberia. The dialogues, scheduled to run from November 2022 to September 2023, aim to ensure peaceful presidential and legislative elections next year.
