Nassau, December 18, 2024. Cuban Medical Services officials visiting The Bahamas, Dr. Eucalia Mantilla Cañizares and Esther Hernández Ferguson, were received upon their arrival by the Cuban ambassador Julio César González Marchante and Dr. Danixia Novoa Sotomayor coordinator of Cuban health cooperation.
As part of the activities planned in the program, they had separate meetings with the Minister of Health and Wellness of the Bahamas, Dr. Michael Darville, and with Dr. Aubynette Rolle, Director General of the Public Hospitals Authority (PHA), who agreed in assessing the progress of bilateral collaboration in health as positive and projecting its strengthening in the future.
The officials toured some places where Cuban health professionals work, receiving signs of recognition by the Bahamian authorities for the outstanding and human work they carry out .
