Cuban MP Dr. Enrique Alemán visits St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle

United Kingdom, 15 February - In the framework of his visit to the United Kingdom, the Cuban MP Dr. Enrique Alemán, director of the Quisicuaba Socio-Cultural Project, president of the Platform for Interreligious Dialogue in Cuba and of the Federation of Spiritualists of Cuba, visited St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, accompanied by the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara Vargas Walter.

During his tour of the Chapel, Dr. Alemán laid flowers on the tombstone of Queen Elizabeth II, as a sign of respect and recognition of her legacy. He also had a fruitful exchange with members of the ecclesiastical staff, among them, the Reverend Canon Dr. Mark Powell, in which topics of common interest on inter-religious dialogue and spirituality in both nations were discussed.

The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about the history and significance of St George's Chapel, a site of great significance in the British monarchical tradition and a place of important cultural and religious value.

This meeting reaffirms the ties of mutual respect and understanding between Cuba and the United Kingdom, as well as the commitment of both nations to inter-religious dialogue and cooperation in the field of spirituality and culture.
