Cuban music night in Vienna

Vienna, November 21.  Cuban culture was present in Vienna with performances by Cuban musicians and the celebration of the eleventh anniversary of the creation of the establishment “El Danzón.”

In the Ehrbarsaal hall, under the direction of producer Amiri, the program “Tropical Latino” was presented, a Latin American concert with musicians from Mexico, Cuba, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, and Bolivia. Cuban musicians residing in Austria, Daniel, Emilio, Takeshi, and Víctor, showed the Austrian audience the flavors of traditional Cuban music. At the end of the concert, the Cuban Ambassador to Austria, Pablo Berti Oliva, spoke with the musicians and the producer, congratulating them on their performance.

Elsewhere in Vienna, the First Secretary in charge of Consular Affairs at the Embassy, Reinier Travieso Guerra, congratulated the management of “El Danzón” for eleven uninterrupted years of promoting Cuban music, and in particular Alexis, a Cuban resident in Austria, for his perseverance in enabling the Austrian public to enjoy Cuban musicians live.

Almost 80 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Austria, Cuban music, thanks to Cubans living in this country, is a sign of the ties that unite us.
