Cuban President and Chancellor congratulate their Lebanese counterparts on the occasion of the 75 anniversary of the independence

Beirut, November 22 2018. The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, sent a congratulatory message to his Lebanese counterpart, General Michel Aoun, on the occasion of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the independence of the Lebanese Republic. 

Meanwhile, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla also congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, Gebran Bassil, the Cuban diplomat ratified the will of Cuba to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Lebanon achieved its independence on November 22, 1943, after a long and complex process that put an end to the French mandate imposed after the end of the first world war. (Embacuba Líbano)
